Kyle makes a promise to Kenny

Kyny, also known as K squared, is the pairing of Kyle Broflovski and Kenny McCormick.

It stems from their friendship, as Kyle seemed closest to Kenny during his death in the original version of Kenny Dies. Kyle sometimes say both "They killed Kenny" and "You bastards" when Stan is not present.

Chickenpox [s02e10]: Kenny and Kyle are shown playing with each other while their mothers talk about their fathers. Shiela, Kyle's mother, suggested Kenny and Kyle to play "ooky mouth," a game in which Kenny had to spit down Kyle's throat and Kyle have to swallow it and say "ooky mouth" at the same time, but Kyle had trouble with it and could not do it, resulting in Kenny's saliva all over Kyle.

Jewbilee [s03e09]: The entire episode is about Kenny and Kyle's time together at Kyle's camp. At the beginning, while Kyle was getting ready for Jew Scouts, Kenny came over to Kyle's house and asked Kyle if he wanted to go camp and watch the meteor shower with him. Kyle replied back, saying that he couldn't go and that he had a Jew Scout event to attend to. Kyle then said that Kenny should go with him so that it won't be that horrible for Kyle. Kyle asked his mother if Kenny could go with him to Jewbilee. At first, Kyle's parents were a bit unaccepting, but in the end, allowed Kenny to go to Jewbilee with Kyle.

When Kyle was locked in the cabin, Kenny tried to find a way to save Kyle and the rest of the Jew Scout members. During the time when Kyle was trapped, Kyle had faith in Kenny that he would be able to find a way to save him.

Kenny Dies [s05e13]: Kyle was the only one who had been besides Kenny from start to end. Near the end, when Kyle learned that Cartman had been taking Kenny's illness to an advantage, Kyle beat Cartman up.

Wing [s09e03]: When Kenny and Kyle splited from Stan and Cartman while trying to take back Wing, they entered a room where they encounted another mafia member. Kyle managed to "kill" the enemy. After doing so, Kyle found Kenny shot and bleeding. Kyle ran over to Kenny, while sobbing, held Kenny in his arms. Kyle then said, "Don't worry, Kenny. You didn't die for nothing," and gave Kenny one more hug before finding Stan and Cartman again, shouting "They killed Kenny," while shooting at the guards with his own gun.

Major Boobage [s12e03]: Kyle was really concerned with Kenny's "cheesing." Near the end of the episode, as Kenny fell over from getting high off of flowers, Kyle ran to Kenny and caught him as he fell.

The Ring [s13e01]: Stan, Kyle, and Cartman found Kenny buying a "Grey's Anatomy" DVD. After a conversation, Stan and Cartman left first while Kyle stayed behind. Kyle walked back to Kenny, patted him on the back, and said "Hold tight, buddy. We're gonna find a cure for you."

According to SUPER SWEET, a Japanese South Park fan site listing, Kenny/Kyle is the second most popular pairing, with Stan/Kyle being the first.

One of the most popular Kenny/Kyle fansites is babyhip, which was created back in 2002. On the 1st of March, 2009, the site had disappeared for unknown reasons. The site has recently launched back up in early September, 2009. However, most of the webmaster's art is gone. Fortunately, many people have saved most of the webmaster's art in places like here.

HELLS PASS is a well-known Kenny/Kyle fanfic archive fan site. It is uncertain when HELLS PASS launched, but the site was most likely open before 2002 since the site uses some of babyhip's art for the website's layout and has linked to babyhip's old fansite here, before moving to the current host.

The pairing, Kenny/Kyle, has a few names that it goes by. The common ones are K², K2, K squared, Knky, and Kyny.
