Cutters is the pairing of Butters Stotch and Eric Cartman romantically. It is also known as Buttman. Recently, the pairing shows possibilities of canon, but appears to be one-sided from Butters, as, in canon, it is implied that Cartman is in love with himself.

Cartman and Butters normally pair up in most situations. Even though Cartman gets Butters into trouble most time, and isn't generally nice to him, Butters seems to see Cartman as a friend. In Casa Bonita, Butters, thinking Cartman was saving his life from cannibals (Where really he wanted Butters to disappear so he could go Casa Bonita), Butters thanked him and said, "I love you." Also, in Tonsil Trouble, Butters gave Cartman a kiss on the cheek. In Super Fun Time, Cartman and Butters were partners. Butters also refused to let go of Cartman's hand, however, this was probably because he was told not to let go. Also in the episode The Death of Eric Cartman, Butters was the only one who did not ignore him (but only due to the fact that he did not know of the children's idea) and stuck by his side throughout the whole episode to help Cartman "redeem his soul". In a fake "Previously, on South Park" in The Return of Chef, Cartman is seen expressing himself to Butters and crying because he was going to miss Chef. In South Park: Bigger, Longer And Uncut, Butters was also the omly one to touch Cartman. Also, Cartman gave Butters a present in Eat, Pray, Queef. Also, in Miss Teacher Bangs a Boy, Cartman "arrested" Butters with his pants down. In Breast Cancer Show Ever, Butters seemed to have a lot of faith in Cartman until Wendy started beating him in the fight. Butters also seems to be the only child that calls Cartman by his first name, "Eric." In The Ungroundable, even though Butters was trying to "feed," he ended up giving Cartman a hickey. Even his parents asked him "Did you get gay with your friend last night?" In Proper Condom Use, the boys accused Cartman looking at Butters's penis while the other boy put his condom on. In Cartman Sucks, Cartman puts his penis in Butters's mouth overnight to get him in trouble, when he didn't realize it would make only himself gay and not Butters.
